Terms of use

Last updated: 2 November 2026

These terms govern the use of the Hakapiri app on phones and tablets. By using Hakapiri you accept them.

Who we are

Hakapiri is developed by UAB Cosmic Brokkoli, J. Savickio g. 4-7, LT-01108 Vilnius, Lithuania. Company code (įmonės kodas) 307504828, VAT LT100020251514. Contact: support@cosmicbrokkoli.com.

What Hakapiri is

Hakapiri is a media player. It opens M3U playlists, XMLTV guides and servers entered by the user and plays their streams. It does not include, sell, host or recommend channels, movies, series or lists. The only content supplied with the app is the Demo room, made of public test streams.

User content

  • You are solely responsible for the sources you add and must have the right to access the content you play.
  • You may not use Hakapiri to access content in breach of copyright or other laws.
  • We have no relationship with whoever runs the playlists or servers you enter and are not responsible for their availability, quality or legality.

Licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Hakapiri on your devices for private, non-commercial use. You may not resell the app, remove trademarks or notices, or use it to offer a broadcasting service to others.

Hakapiri, its name and logo belong to Cosmic Brokkoli. Included open-source components remain subject to their own licences.

Subscription and purchases

Playing the user’s content requires one of these purchases, sold through the App Store or Google Play:

  • Yearly: a one-year subscription that renews automatically at the price shown in the store at the time of purchase. You are charged on your store account when you confirm, or at the end of the trial. It renews unless you turn off renewal at least 24 hours before it expires.
  • Free trial: 7 days, once per store account, if the store considers you eligible. If you don’t cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the paid subscription starts.
  • Lifetime: a one-time payment, with no renewal, valid as long as Hakapiri is available for your platform.

Manage or cancel your subscription from your App Store or Google Play account settings, or in Hakapiri › Settings › Subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid. When it expires your sources and catalogue stay; only playback is locked.

Switching from yearly to lifetime does not cancel the yearly plan: you have to do that yourself in the store. There is no automatic refund of the yearly fee already paid.

Purchases apply on the platform where you make them (Apple or Google) and are restored with the same store account. Promo codes and gifts are managed by the stores and may have their own conditions.

Withdrawal and refunds

Purchases are billed by Apple or Google, who also handle refund requests under their own rules: reportaproblem.apple.com for Apple, Google Play’s refund page for Android. Your statutory consumer rights are not affected.

Store terms

If you download Hakapiri from the App Store, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. If you download it from Google Play, the Google Play Terms of Service also apply. In case of conflict, the store’s terms prevail for your relationship with the store.

Warranty and liability

Hakapiri is provided “as is”. We do our best to make it work well, but we do not guarantee that every playlist, format or stream is compatible, or that the service is always free of errors. Features also depend on the device, operating system, network and source.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damage or for the loss of data stored on the device. Nothing in these terms limits liability for wilful misconduct or gross negligence, or your mandatory consumer rights, including the legal guarantee of conformity for digital content.

Governing law

The law of the Republic of Lithuania applies. If you are a consumer, you can also bring a claim before the courts of your place of residence and you keep the mandatory protections of your EU country. To settle a dispute out of court, you can contact the Lithuanian State Consumer Rights Protection Authority (vvtat.lrv.lt) or the alternative dispute resolution body of your country.

We may update these terms. Important changes are announced in the app or on this page, with the date at the top updated.
